Butlins Bognor Regis

 

Located between the town of Bognor Regis and the village of Felpham, lies the Butlins Resort of Bognor Regis. Within this sixty acre seaside resort a huge array of activities and entertainment can be found (see above), although we are sure that you would like to explore the surrounding areas, the Butlins resort of Bognor Regis provides everything you could want to keep you active, excited and entertained during your stay.

 

Within this resort is a wide selection of accommodation options in both self catering apartments and dinner, bed and breakfast rooms. Standard accommodation comes in three ranges: Premium (Deluxe Suites, Gold Apartments), Mid Range (Silver Rooms, Silver Apartments) and Budget (Standard Room, Standard apartments). Alternatively, you could stay in one of the luxurious hotel suites exclusive to Butlins Bognor Regis; check into either the Shoreline Hotel or the ultra modern Ocean Hotel (opened in 2009) complete with a relaxing adult Spa. Whichever option you choose, you are guaranteed clean and comfortable accommodation in which to relax and unwind.

 

Formerly existing as only a small fishing hamlet, during the 18th century Bognor Regis was liberated into a seaside resort town by Sir Richard Hotham and has attracted visitors ever since. Hotham Park has been hailed as one of the best in the country, recognised by its Green Flag award this beautiful park offers a relaxing atmosphere ideal for walking, picnics and boating on its miniature lake. If you had something a little more active in mind, the award winning seafront and beach offer an array of fun activities including: windsurfing, jet-skiing, sailing and swimming.

 

If you were intending on absorbing a little bit of history and culture the Bognor Regis Art Trail has many publicly and privately funded pieces of art for your perusal, or if you intend to go a little further, a visit to Arundel Castle and its gardens is a must (approximately 20 minutes by car). The town of Bognor Regis and its surrounding area also provide many other fun opportunities such as an 18 hole golf course, mini golf, tennis courts and a great mix of bars, clubs, theatres and cinemas so that you will never be bored.

 

Butlins Minehead

 

Butlins Minehead is found adjacent to the coastal town of Minehead on the south bank of the Bristol Channel in Somerset; this picturesque area of England boasts both natural beauty and outstanding historical appeal in addition to a vast array of excursions and activities. As with every resort, Butlins Minehead offers a range of self-catering apartments and dinner, bed and breakfast rooms and suites. Accommodation options come in three ranges: Premium (Deluxe Suites, Gold Apartments), Mid Range (Silver Rooms, Silver Apartments) and Budget (Standard Room, Standard apartments).

Butlins Minehead is surrounded by nature, take a short drive west to Allerford (approximately 10 minutes) and you will find Exmoor Falconry and Animal Farm, a short drive to the East (approximately 15 minutes) is the village of Washford home to Tropiquaria a wildlife park home to a wide array of tropical mammals, fish, birds a reptiles. Exmoor National Park is also home to many historical points of interest; visit the 15th century Cistercian abbey of Cleeve in Washford, or take a short five minute drive to Dunster to see the Watermill and explore the venerable Dunster Castle and its beautiful grounds. These are just a selection of a wide range of fantastic opportunities for exploration and adventure on offer at Bulins Minehead, it will be practically impossible to fit it all in- but we are sure you will do your best!

 

Butlins Skegness

 

Butlins Skegness is situated in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, just north of the town of Skegness. Skegness is home to the first ever Butlins holiday camp which opened in 1936 and although the resort has obviously seen numerous renovations and additions to suit the modern age, the traditional charm that drew people here almost 80 years ago is still very much alive.

 

As with every Butlins Resort there are a number of different accommodation options available in self catering apartments or dinner, bed and breakfast rooms. The accommodation is designed in a charming New England aesthetic and come in three ranges: Premium (Deluxe Suites, Gold Apartments), Mid Range (Silver Rooms, Silver Apartments) and Budget (Standard Room, Standard apartments). Butlins Skegeness resort also boasts an indulgent health Spa that is exclusive for adult guests to relax and unwind, there are various treatments available from massages to beauty treatments (prices vary).

 

Due to its long history and reputation as a well established holiday destination, Skegness and the surrounding area boast a huge array of attractions to keep visitors entertained. For those hoping for a traditional holiday vibe the central beach at Skegness is perfect, this beach has recently obtained a Blue Flag award for demonstrating exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and environmental management, so whether you want to take a donkey ride, build a giant sand castle or simply relax in the sun with a big soft ice cream, you can be rest assured that the beach experience here is as good as anywhere in England.

 

Of course no traditional beach holiday destination would be complete without a funfair and Skegness is no exception, in fact there is a choice of two! Bottons Pleasure Beach is located on the seafront in Skegness and Fantasy Island can be found just up the beach (approximately a 5 minute drive) in Ingoldmells, both have attractions to suit all ages from rollercoasters to adventure golf.

 

If your little ones are nature lovers there is plenty in Skegness to keep them entertained, Natureland Marine Zoo can be found on the seafront in Skegness, additionally Hardy's Animal Farm located in Ingoldmells has a large variety of farms animals and rare breeds for you to see, feed and play with. If you intend to go a little further (approximately 15 minutes by car) to Friskney you will find Europes only dedicated Parrot Zoo with the largest collection of rescued parrots in the UK. There are also many other bars, restaurants, cinemas and activities in the surrounding area, so if you are looking for a traditional beach holiday with an exciting atmosphere and some special little extras visit Butlins Skegness.
