Perfectly situated, Brean Sands offers both relaxation and a number of essential activities and excursions for adults and children alike. Within close proximity lies the historically famous Cheddar Caves and Gorge, here you can take a tour of the gorge and caves, see the cheese being made and meet one of Britain's oldest skeletons: the 'Cheddar Man'. Just down the coast lies the modest village of Brean that hosts not only a number of charming pubs and restaurants but also (and most importantly for the kids) Brean Leisure Park, the largest fun park in the South West of England.
Pontins Camber Sands
Located on an award winning beach, Pontin's Camber Sands in East Sussex boasts a large array of establishments and activities to meet its ever increasing influx of tourists. Close by are a number of historical points of interest on offer, take a tour of Bodiam Castle, Battle Abbey or board the Tenterden Steam Railway (all approximately 30 minutes travelling time by car). If you had something livelier in mind, why not give Kite Surfing or Power Kiting a try on Camber Beach. Whether you are interested in heritage, shopping, nature, food and drink, or recreation, there is always something to enjoy in Camber Sands.
Pontins Prestatyn Sands
In North Wales along the coast of the Irish Sea and next to the grand Dee Estuary that separates Wales from England lies the town of Prestatyn. In a perfect location Pontin's Prestatyn Sands is an ideal excursion point for a wide variety of fun and educational experiences. Amongst a beautiful patchwork landscape, the surrounding areas and adjacent towns are home to many heritage sites including Rhuddlan Castle at Rhyl, Bodelwyddan Castle and the venerable Conwy Castle at Conwy (Conwy is approximately a 35 minute drive from Prestatyn Sands Holiday Park). Additionally Prestatyn offers a range of activities including a championship golf course, tennis courts, both indoor and outdoor swimming. Cycling is not only a fun and healthy way to get around the area; there are also several picturesque cycling routes to experience particularly those to the quaint village of Dyserth and the town of Rhyl. As mentioned above Rhyl is home to Rhuddlan castle, but also to many Pubs, Restaurants and the Palace Fun Centre with an adventure playground, bowling, an arcade, the haunted house 'Terror Tombs', and a casino if you are feeling lucky. In short, Pontin's Prestatyn Sands is a perfect location to meet all of your vacation needs whether respite or recreation.
Pontins Southport
With a beach front location on the edge of Ainsdale village and a short walk from the town of Southport sits Pontin's Southport Holiday Park. There is so much on offer at this prime location that you will never be stuck for things to do and see. Not only does Southport boast a large array of quality restaurants, pubs and exciting nightlife venues and Britains second longest pier, it is also full of great attractions for both adults and children. In particular a visit to Southport Pleasureland and Splash World are must for those with kids, whilst adults may want to absorb a little bit of culture at the Southport Arts Centre or Theatre and Convention Centre. If you had something a little more relaxing in mind, then why not take a walk and unwind on one of the fantastic beaches that hug the 22 miles of magnificent coastline. Pontins Pakefield
Located in North Suffolk along the aptly named Sunrise Coast sits Pontin's Holiday Park Pakefield. This beautiful part of England attracts visitors from all over not only for its expansive coastline and award winning beaches, but because Pakefield is also one of the premier fossil discovery locations of East Anglia. One of the main attractions to Pakefield is the scenery itself, enjoy an energising walk along Pakefield Cliffs, take in the splendid Pakefield Lighthouse and appreciate the great views of the ocean. Nearby is the town of Lowestoft (approximately 10 minute walk) which is home to not only two of the best (and busiest) beaches in the area but also to Pleasurewood Hills theme park, whilst the village of Southwold provides a more traditional seaside escape. Whatever you are looking for, Pontin's Holiday Park Pakefield is an ideal location for a holiday or a short-break at any time of the year- especially if you are a fossil hunter!
